Some reviews complaned about the sound output. Very good functional item. For me, this is the best CD Clock Radio I have ever had. I bought this to wake me up, I have a 6 speaker sound system for mega sound output. I like the easy to use and very nicely displayed dual alarm funtion. I wake up to a CD on alarm 1 and by the time I am out of the shower I am getting the local traffic and news on alarm 2.
The light may not bother some people but I like a dark bedroom and from experience I can tell you it is not easy to find the alarm off button if you've had a late night. The display has 3 preset light levels and the lowest makes my dark bedroom glow at night and the button to turn off the alarm is the second small button from the top on the right of the clock (you can see it if you look closely at the picture). If these two items don't bother you, I'd recommend buying this as everything else works as advertised. I've now had this and been using it for about a year. It works perfectly but has two annoying design issues that have been slowly grinding on me enough that I'm now looking for a replacement.
NICE RADIO BUT I HAD TO RETURN IT.TRY TO GET THE OLD SONY ICF CD 855V. BEWARE. CAN'T IMAGINE WHY 'SONY' WOULD FORGET THE PHONE JACK. IT IS NOT MADE ANY MORE BUT I FOUND ONE AND IT IS GREAT. THERE IS NO EAR PHONE JACK IN THIS RADIO. YOU CANNOT LISTEN TO CD'S AT NITE IN YOUR COMFY BED.
Just the time will stay lit slighty. It's easy to figure out and it has a modern look to it instead of the square ordinary clocks. I wanted a cd alarm clock so I purchased this one. The sound is great and you can turn the volume up quite a bit which I was surprised and happy. I recommend it highly. It's great. It has dual alarms, it lights up so you either use it to illuminate the room a little or you can turn it off completely.
Large snooze button, no fumbling to find it. Easy read display. I like the backlight options. Simple design and functional.
